[South Eastern Europe] ChildHub for Children!

20 Dec 2018

The ChildHub family continues to grow! In 2018 we have successfully launched the Childhub Justice portal (justice.childhub.org) – a page where you can find all the resources on the issue of justice for children: news, documents, multimedia and learning opportunities. We developed a test website for consulting with children in Romania which has already proven to be a much needed and effective tool. Throughout this work our team had a chance to work with children in conflict with the law, to get the first-hand knowledge about the challenges they are facing and resources that could be useful to them. They said it would be great to have answers to the most common questions of young people about justice issues but in a child-friendly format. And we listened! Juvenile Justice A-Z is a booklet aiming to achieve precisely that – to give child-friendly answers about children`s rights in different legal proceedings. It is currently available in three languages – Hungarian, English and Romanian – and soon in other Childhub languages too!

Now we are happy to share we are launching a Children's corner (kids.childhub.org). It will feature an interactive mobile game called 'StoryLab', developed for 13-18 years old children, and especially for those in conflict with law, aiming to provide them answers to justice-related questions in a way close to them – through a mobile game! Juvenile Justice A-Z booklet provides child-friendly answers and ‘StoryLab’ enables children to access those answers in a child-friendly way as well.
